- Remove show pilots in space and every other filter displaying information about other people from unclaimed 0.0 space. Remove all jumpgates from unclaimed space and replace them with natural travel points(wormholes, etc.).
- Keep local chat but DO NOT display portraits unless said person types in the channel.
- Increase the number of entry points into 0.0 by 20 times.
- Allow Starbases to reveal all pilots in system(updated every 30 seconds) when online. Also allow starbases to reveal "pilots in space" information for systems that are 1 jump away, with a 15 minute refresh rate. Allow the reveal distance and refresh rate to be upgrades by starbase modules. This information is only given to the corporation that owns the starbase, unless they claim sovreignty, in which the entire alliance linked to the starbase recieves this information.
- Allow signature radius and scanner strength to tie into how far away a ship can see you on their range scanners. Introduce skills, scanning and stealth modules that allow ships to increase their range scanning distance, or decrease their signature radius against other ship scanning systems.
- Introduce Active and Passive scanning. Make the overview a passive form, and the range scanner an active form. Make it so using an active scanner will drastically increase a ship's scan-signature, which ties into surrounding ships seeing the scanning ship at longer distances. Combined with skills, stealth and scanning modules, allow a pilot to specialize in longer range scanning with lower increases in signature when utilizing the active scanner. Allow pilots to completely 'turn-off' their active scanner for a bonus reduction in scan-signature, with a reasonable delay for turning the scanner back on.
- Allow different environments to interference with scan and signature emissions. Asteroid belts are easy to scan themselves, but invoke a penalty when attempting to scan for people and objects nestled inside. It should also be more difficult to scan ships in close proximity to stars and dense gas clouds. Natural travel points(like wormholes, if ever implemented) should emit increased signatures when used, and should allow pilots to analyze(and determine) the amount of traffic for a given wormhole, and when it was last used.
- Allow scan probes to reveal everything within their triangulations. Allow probes to scan and KEEP scanning a triangulated location for the full extent of their life, on a delayed cycle, transmitting the data as far as 5 jumps. Introduce skills that allow pilots to specialize in scan probes with increased duration, transmitting range, and stealth. Introduce a hard-cap on maximum probes allowed in space, like drones, that can be further increased with skills.
- Introduce smaller, specialized "recon" control towers that can be deployed in different systems with huge scanning ranges, which will transmit scan information to any friendly ships within its influence on a delayed cycle. Introduce smaller and MUCH weaker sentry and defence system classes for these specialized starbases to use, so they can maintain a minimal defense system that does not require a dreadnaught or 20+ battleships to kill. These specialized towers will also have MUCH fewer hitpoints, run on minimal fuel costs and be unable to claim sovreignty or enter "reinforced" mode.
- Or hell, let's just turn this game into Independance War 2, minus the physics engine!
